Performance shock absorbers (or dampers) are designed to directly replace the standard OE units, they are normally gas filled and have a stiffer setting than the original units, commonly now you will also find that the pistons rods are shortened, this is particularly good if the car is fitted with lowering springs, as it helps stop springs becoming unseated and give more suspension travel.

By fitting performance shock absorbers helps stiffen the cars suspension and improve the cars handling capabilities, giving you better road holding and less body roll. We do recommend these are used in conjunction with an uprated spring set to get the maximum benefit, however we do offer dampers that are specifically designed for cars with standard springs, for people who wish to improve the handling whilst retaining the factory ride height.
