Bosch ABS / Traction Control Sensor

ABS wheel speed sensors independently detect the motion of each wheel and by sending this information to the ABS ECU which adjusts the braking force applied to each wheel can maximise performance and safety.

There are 2 different types - "passive" or "active" - with active giving more detailed information. There are 4 fitted per vehicle (one at each wheel). Replacement should be made when a faulty sensor is diagnosed.
