NRF Air Conditioning Evaporator
The evaporator receives cool liquid refrigerant which has been cooled by change of state in the condenser, the warm cabin air flows through the evaporator which causes the air to cool and liquid refrigerant to increase in temperature and change to vapour. The warm vapour then passes through to the compressor to be re-circulated around the system once more.
Upon the warm air touching the cold evaporator moisture condenses on the evaporator and exits the vehicle through drainage channels.
Some vehicles have more than one evaporator to cool different areas of the vehicle cabin, i.e. independent front and rear air conditioning.
