Shell Helix Ultra Professional AM-L is designed to meet the demanding requirements of high-performance engines, including BMW and Mercedes-Benz. With Shell Helix Ultra Professional AM-L, you are using a lubricant that is specially tailored to your vehicle. It is approved against the technically challenging Mercedes-Benz MB 229.51 (diesel engines) and BMW LL-04 (petrol and diesel, but not BMW M engines) specifications. Its formulation is designed to help protect diesel particulate filter (DPF) systems from plugging. In gaining approval for these specifications, Shell Helix Ultra Professional AM-L 5W-30 was required to pass an extensive range of performance tests.
