This induction hob is electromagnetic, so when you turn on the hob and set both your power and temperature, the hob will not heat up until it comes in contact with a suitable pan with a magnetic base (e.g. stainless steel or iron).
IMPORTANT: To be used with induction pan sets or pans made from stainless steel or cast iron. Not suitable for aluminium, anodised, ceramic or copper pans.
