What is the trim of a wheel?

Wheel trims are circular coverings designed to prevent dirt and debris building around the central wheel hub. They also serve a decorative purpose, giving the wheels of the vehicle a sleek, shiny finish.

Are wheel trims easy to fit?

Fitting wheel trims can be a fairly easy task. Whilst some gentle force must be applied, unlike alloy wheels, your wheels don't need to be removed to fit the trims, making it a lot easier.

How to fit a car wheel trim

1 - Remove the existing wheel trim by pulling it, doing so from several places until it pops off
2 - Take the new wheel trim and line it up with the circular indent
3 - Push the trim in place until it's secure

Is it safe to drive without a wheel trim?

Yes, it is safe to drive without a wheel trim; they are not a necessity or legal requirement.

Why do wheel trims fall off?

Wheel trims can become loose and fall off if they are not effectively fixed in place; many of our wheel trims include secure locking rings to prevent this from happening. Sunlight can also weaken your wheel trims, which is why we supply trims made from high-quality and heat-resistant ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene).

Can you put wheel trims over alloys?

Wheel trims are not typically designed to be placed over alloys, due to the different shape and style of alloy wheels. When ordering  wheel trims, first check to see if they'll be compatible.

What size wheel trims do I need?

To check which wheel trims you need for your vehicle, look for a number on the tyre preceded by the letter R. The number indicates the inch size e.g., R14 means 14"".
