Once the temperature starts to fall, you'll want to make sure you're stocked up on antifreeze. Find the essentials from the best brands for less at Euro Car Parts.
What is antifreeze used on?
Antifreeze is applied to cars in the winter months to prevent water in the engine from freezing. The freezing point of the water is lowered as the antifreeze circulates through, reducing the risk of damaging blockages.
Do all vehicles need antifreeze?
All vehicles should have a healthy supply of antifreeze throughout the year. It not only prevents water in the engine from freezing , it also helps cool down the engine in warmer temperatures and reduce rust build-up.
Are antifreeze and coolant the same thing?
No, antifreeze and coolant are different, albeit with some similarities. Antifreeze is normally a concentration of glycol and inhibitors, whilst coolant is essentially antifreeze when diluted with water.
