This information is used only for the purpose of finding the correct parts for your vehicle.
Given that the master cylinder will wear through normal use and can become corroded over time, it’s essential to replace it in order to avoid the risk of brake failure. Find superior master cylinders at Eurocarparts.com for every model of car.
What does a master cylinder do?
The master cylinder is an essential part of your vehicle's braking system. When you depress the brake pedal, the cylinder pushes a piston to release hydraulic fluid; this fluid then travels through the brake lines into pistons within each brake. As these pistons fill with fluid, the brake pads and shoes are pushed against the drum, helping your vehicle to slow down.
Can you drive with a broken master cylinder?
Because of the crucial role that the master cylinder plays when slowing down your vehicle, you should not drive with a broken unit. Get it replaced as soon as possible.
How do I test if my master cylinder is bad?
-The brake pedal feels spongy with little resistance
-Your vehicle pulls to one side, indicating that pressure isn't being applied evenly when braking
-The brake fluid in your vehicle is darker in colour due to contaminants
Please Note :
You have selected Quantity 1 x Brake Disc . Brake discs are recommended to always be changed in pairs. Therefore it is recommended that you select Quantity x 2 . If your vehicle has specific Brake Discs for each side (e.g. some BMW M3 vehicles), please check the specification and select the correct Brake Disc(s) and Quantity.
